Start with the sniff test
Set the case and frame nearby while your cat is relaxed. Do not move the frame toward their face right away. Let them sniff, ignore, return, and decide the object is boring. Boring is excellent.
Use tiny fitting windows
When your cat seems comfortable, place the frame gently for a second or two, then remove it and reward calm behavior. A successful first session can be comically short. That is not failure. That is trust-building.
- Keep the bridge centered and away from the eyes.
- Make the strap snug enough to guide the frame, never tight.
- Stop immediately if your cat paws, freezes, hides, or resists.
